Little Leas is 1.3 acres on the North Eastern end of a larger track of woodland in the South East of England. Little Leas gets up early with the birds! Birdsong can be heard approaching this oasis of green…cool air of the tree shade underneath. Right through until evening with beautiful fire like sunset glows and more birdsong as the sun sets.

Little Leas is frequented by birds of many types, including several robins, black birds, collared doves, wood pigeons and more…

We try to leave Little Leas as undisturbed as possible so that the wildlife and plants can thrive without human interference, apart from the ongoing attempts to clear litter and larger pieces of rubbish left there. We even found a can of drink from 2002! Rubbish maybe forgotten by the person who leaves it but it can stay in nature for a long time.

Thank you for your interest in Little Leas – we’ll try to bring you an authentic online experience, but nothing can really compete with nature.

What now?

We continue with the cleaning efforts of Little Leas which until recently has sadly been neglected. Some rubbish is harmful to wildlife and even can leach chemicals into the soil. Nature shows amazing rejuvenation at the same time, we will never know what might be down there under layers of leaf litter, maybe something historical but now it belongs to nature…
